Sorry for the non post in the suspension forum, but I got a question maybe some of you goobers can help me with.
I just picked up a boxxer WC off ebay, which is pretty sweet except its topping out really hard. I'm informed that it might be the wavy washer under the air piston retaining clip, but there are no obvious deformities to it. There is also another wavy washer that I suspect might not supposed to be a wavy washer. I talked to SRAM but the lady I talked to obviously had little to no experience and just suggested I buy a new air spring piston or replace the seals. Since the fork is buttery smooth and was holding air fine I'm pretty sure the seals have nothing to do with it, and I'm pretty poor at the moment so saving up for a new air assembly will mean a couple months OTB (which I'd obviously prefer to avoid). Any ideas what could be going wrong and/or what I should do?
glide ring?
glide ring? side view
right spot for glide ring?
