I just put a set of UST Diesel Pro's on my bike and think they are fine for trail riding, but I don't know if I would trust the sidewalls in rough/rocky trails at high speed.
I run a Diesel Protection 2.5 on the rear using ghetto tubeless. Works great as a rear. Not sure I'd want it in front though. Side knobs are not big enough for my taste for use as a front. I've been very happy w/ it on the rear, however.
I run Diesel Protections for 2 years now on my everyday trailbke, they are ok for the road or hardpack when dry. On dry rocks when riding really slow.
Anything wet or muddy and they will slide away. Pinch flats are common as they dont build that high, compared to a RubberQueen or BigBetty.
These tires may be ok for dirt riding and in very dry conditions with no rocks and no loose soil.
Better buy RubberQueens or MuddyMary or 2.5 Nevegals.
