i have a tomac 204 magnum and the chainguide is really old and worn through. i need a new chainguide and have been looking at e.13, and just replacing the mr. dirt gizmo, but i was trying to see if anyone knew if i could get all the parts to replace the parts that wear, the plastic parts and little allen head bolts. my backplate and bash gaurd are fine to reuse. are they still in business? i cant find a website or anything.
I have been running Mr Dirt chain guides for years (I even have a Mr Dirt F.A.T. downhill fork). ODI bought the rights to the Mr Dirt chain guides. They should have the new G2 style guide blocks and rollers in stock (they even come in new colors; red, grey, blue, or classic yellow and will bolt directly to your old back plate). Here is their phone number: (951) 786-4755. They will take prders over the phone and can send the parts right to you. If for some reason they do not have what you need, let me know. I have tons of spare parts. Talk to you later.
The website is www.odigrips.com but they do not list the chain guides for some reason. They do have the parts though, I odered 2 complete guides and a bunch of parts not that long ago. The ODI/Southridge race team uses G2 guides on their Turners bikes.
sent them an email last night, they didnt reply today, ill probably try calling tomorrow. youre not talking about the mrp g2 guide are you? i would just find it odd that two different manufacterers would call their versions of the same type of product the same name. ill let you know if i cant get anything from them. thanks
I know is sounds wierd. The guide you have is called a Gizmo. When Mr. Dirt revamped the rollers and guide blocks he changed the name to G2. I guess since ODI is not actively marketing the guide that the "G2" name was up for grabs and MRP got it.
