would be possible to get it to ramp up the compression towards the end of the travel also easy to manipulate the design to get loads of travel out of it....could be a good big hucker
The extra weight and complexity doesn't seem to fit the SP design benefits. If I was looking at that frame, I would see all the maintenence and vulnerability of a VPP/DW link/ fourbar/ whatever, but none of the performance benefits.
stinkyFTW: that thought had crossed my mind, my design teacher is experienced at making stuff with metal, plus have a facilitates to do it at school to build some thing like this (industrial drills, industrial lasers (for templates, shame they wont cut metal) and a metal store to rival most) so could be done

oh come on we have cover the bloody writing thing before!
we will see, some crappy designs might work with a few tweaks, i really feel that we are going to run out of possible advances, as some one else put it "hit the ceiling" and this design could have a lower pivot point, look at hairy knuckles frame, very high pivot but still apparently rides like a dream
