Recently I have been asked if Turner Bikes are warranted if they are purchased on E Bay or from 'unauthorized' dealers. Obviously these riders do not know much about Turner Bikes customer service and I would appreciate ya'll sharing this info.
Of course we will warrant a frame bought anywhere from anyone as long as it is within the warranty period.Save your reciept. Our warranty is also transferable with a used frame, all the second buyer has to do is obtain the original sales reciept for that frame from the original purchaser, warranty transferred.
We of course offer a $500 trade in on any age Turner Bike in any condition to anyone that has it regardless of having a receipt. If it is a genuine Turner, it will get genuine service of one kind or another.
Our commitment is to the owner of a Turner frame and keeping them on the trail as cost effectively as possible.
Boy your up early on a Holiday and as usual working regardless. Thats just one of the many reasons why I've owned 3 Turners and will buy another when the time comes.
Great Warranty, Great Service and an Excellent Product
,,,,,,,,Turner is the Nordstrom of the bicycle customer service world. I have always been impressed with the speed and the quality of CS response I have received from Dave or Greg on questions related to their bikes.
The best part is, it's still the best damn riding bike I have ever thrown a leg over and you get the Homer's on this forum, too; most of the manufacturer forums on mtbr are dismal showplaces for misinformation, shared ignorance/stupidity, rage, and people bragging about the length of their wankers.
As some of you know, I sent my 2003 Spot in for a fresh paint job and bushings. It cost me only $250 and the bike came back looking brand new with a new derailleur hanger, headtube badge, and fresh zirts. No chain sucks marks. It is amazing! I would like to convince myself to buy a new DW Link bike but I can't think of a reason to do so. Amazing customer service!
Completley agree with the pervious comments.
My experience: I purchased a Spot second hand from a former Turner employee. the frame had a dent in it upon receipt. The bike's integrity wasn't compromised, but my OCD kept nagging at me. I cautiously approached Turner's customer service dept. (Greg) and he assured me it would not be an issue to complete a crash replacement of my Spot. So, some $$ out of pocket, but nothing near the cost of a new frame, and voila an '08 Sparkle Spot with an '05 rear end. Badda bing, badda bang, hands down the best CS in the business, and one of the reasons I will buy an RFX if Dave doesn't mess with the specs currently posted...Dave are you listening? :skep:
Rock on DT! Killer bikes, killer company, best Homers in the industry!
Haven't had to use the c s yet as my '08 RFX is still rocking strong, but will I be able to utilize that $500 trade in when the '09s come out?
I've seen the stellar c s in play via friends and will always remain a Turner devotee.
Other than Ellsworth wanting people to buy from "authorized" dealers, I do not see any logic why they will not honor any warranty to those who bought on ebay or anywhere outside their dealer network. It is like saying that an Ellsworth frame sold on ebay is a fake Ellsworth and will not be serviced.
This is just another fine example of why it is absolutely POINTLESS to have a Turner forum. Message boards are for complaining! 'Turner Forum' has now become an oxymoron.
So if I have a turner that is within the 2 year gap. 06/07 square frame turner can I get warrenty? I have found some cracks near the top shock mount (think it is usal for this year) and brought it 2nd hand. I dont have the reciept tho?
sounds like its time to call greg on monday and see what he can do. i have the same frame and its been rewelded at that same spot. additionally, its been gusseted at the downtube/bb junction, both standard fixes for this model year dhr. my guess is itll be plenty cheap to fix and youll have a new paint job too.
