I just built a 5 spot for the misses (08 with a RP23) She is only 125lbs so with such a low air pressure to achieve sag it has way to much rebound. Silly slow! Anyone else have a similar experience? Do I really have to Push it before she gets a ride in on it? Its that slow.
if rebound on fastest setting is still to slow? then either more air pressure (u can try higher air pressure and no propedal) and/or a push could potentially be the best options. other shock jocks here may have better suggestions.
Its at 25% sag. I wouldnt want to ad any more presure. Are they valved differently per frame size? She has a RFX and it was great right out of the box?
This is the same problem my GF has on her bikes. She's 115 lbs, and on the air shocks she's had it's been almost impossible to get the stock shocks to live up to their potential. She was amazed with the results the first time she sent her shock off to Push.

Hey M,
Before you send it off.
Look at my picture. My 08 RP23 on my 08 5 Spot. The rebound tune from Fox has 3 tune options. Maybe the one you have is tuned slower? Look at the sticker and see what you have. I dropped my air pressure from my normal 185 psi. to 100 psi. to see how much slower it got. Yes it slowed down a bit, but not to the extent of being too slow to ride. Could be something not quite right inside the shock, so being new it would be under warranty as well. Fox warranty will maybe cost you a few bucks for shipping.

I might do that for my gf. She's on an 06 RFX with a HV RP23 off a Spot for that era. Us guys always have to note that with such light weight, they have to run somewhat heavier rebound, while we're always on the end of being practically full open. That said, the damper needs to be a bit lighter, at least on HSC for her.

High compression, mid rebound tune and yes its a HV can. May check on fox war. deal. at 100 psi it rebounds pretty darn slow. I have had nothing but great experiences from Push so at least it would be right.

Give Push a shot, you will want to tell them about the slow rebound so they can check the shock out thoroughly.
