All are welcome to attend the first annual Shingletree Shuffle. Shingletree trail is a not so well know but awesome trail between Elkins and Parsons WV. The ride will consist of 98% singletrack with very short sections of pavement. The singletrack is true honest to God WV singletrack, not to rocky, not to rooty, but just right. The ride will depart from the Porterwood terminus of the Allegheny Highlands Rail Trail off RT 219 at 10am ish . Ride will be anywhere from 3-5 hours depending upon the group that shows up. Sure hope someone attends because Mandi and I are feeling pretty guilty about keeping these trails all to ourselves.
Sure wish I could make it, but even if I get free the decision would be tough. The
Slatyfork gang is supposed to get together with rt and her other half at Slatyfork
that same weekend. Maybe we can talk davis, capt., witt022000, and the rest
of the group into coming up to Elkins on this day. I won't know if I can get away
untill the last minute but will lust to ride some of the trails you and Mandi cherish.
Hope Scott and I can get over there. Hope you have a good turn out regardless...
I've ridden Shingletree around Parsons, but I didn't know it hooked up all the way into Elkins. I'd be into seeing that.
