Standard casing vs DH casing tires (with stans)
Are a lot of people running standard single ply tires in a tubeless setup or are you running DH casing tires. I had a set of dh nevegals with stans and they were great, then went to fire FR's with regular casing with stans and rolled the tire off the rim in a hard turn at Plattekill. Now I have a Comp 32 in front and a 16 in the back with stans and they hold air like a dream but damn they are heavy and slow rolling. I''m leary to run nevegals in the regular casing folding tire with stans because I have a feeling my fate will be similar to the panaracers. I'm trying to shave weight off the beast but am not sure if regular casing nevegals with stans is a wise idea for the rocky trails in the northeast. any opinions?
