I bought a Kona Shred with a Marzocchi Dirt Jump 4 fork. The fork is not quick release nor is it through axle (disappointing fork by the way). Can I take the nuts of both sides and just throw a quick release skewer through it for easy of use with my yakima bike trays?
No new bearings to replace the bolt-on with a QR. You just need the hollow QR axle, the QR, and some cone wrenches.
Internal race cannot be switched out. You use the same size bearings.
I don't think he's asking about replacing the bolt-on with a QR. I think he's wondering if he can use a QR in the fork so he can put it on his rack.
