That second one is brutal. I've seen it before, and it still hurts just watching it. If you look a little harder, his front wheel exploded when he landed- no wonder he went down so hard.
While it certainly was dumb to do that without a helmet, it would have taken a full face to do much for him on that one.
I know a kid who is a worse rider than that. He rides a rocky mountain switch with 7 inches of travel front and rear yet he still somehow manages to flip over the bars off a curb, and it has happened 3 times. I'm not even going to exlain what happens if he actually goes off a jump or drop.

I was just thinking about that. I think the only way I could go OTB that quickly off that tiny drop would be by grabbing as much front brake as I could right at the lip. In a odd sort of way, that guy's got some talent.
Yeah, but that was in Australia, so the pain probably didn't bother him
