Hi there. Hope someone can help. I'm going to get a glory but cant afford a DH version so Im going to get the cheapest one (Glory 1). The only problem is the headangle is a bit steep at 70. If I swapped the 170mm forks for some 200mm (which would obviously be taller axle to crown) would that solve the problem and slacken the angle or is it a bad idea to play with the geometry like that? Any advice would be great.
well, i have a heckler that used to have a 130mm fork on it and it felt a little twitchy, i later put a 36 talas on it and it felt way better, it for sure slackend it and felt more stable
I'm not completley sure, but I really wouldn't see anything wrong with it. But when do you plan on getting the new fork?
But if you can wait a bit longer I would suggest waiting and aving up for the DH version. Its only $1000 more and you get a better parts spec. (I know I sound like a salesman here). But you get a Fox 40 Rc2 which alone is a $1500 fork and a DHX 5 and a couple other smaller things(der. chain guide, etc)
Also, maybe try looking around used too. You can find some pretty good deals.
Yeah the only problem I have is I live in the uk where bikes are expensive. The DH glory is about £1300 more here which is nearly $2000. I wish I could order straight from the us/can but shops dont do overseas delivery. I'm pretty bummed about the extortionate prices over here. Cheers for the advice.

i have the glory zero it 67 degrees head angle feels stable at speed downhill, twitchy uphill, the bike wants to go fast and the center of gravity feels low! Ace bike, if you can stretch to the zero it should last longer cos it's a bit more bomb proof, so is possibly better value in the long run. ye hah!!!
thinking of getting a Glory 0, at 5' 5" not sure to go with the x-small or small. Geometry specs on website have top tube measuring 20.9" on x-small and 22.3" on small. My small Bullit measures 21.5" Hey Snowman what size u got and how tall are you? Thanks for any feedback.
Hi chofu99 this snowman is 5'7'' i ride the small and would probably recomend it as it deffinately doesn't feel too big and has a lower stand over than the x small, can't beat a test ride though or at least sit on 1.
Thanks for the reply Snowman. I ordered a small and hope everything works out. Wish I could just sit on one and judge for myself but have been unable to locate any Glories, only Reign X0s where it felt I was in between a x-small and small size. Thanks again and enjoy your new ride.
