I was thinking that it might be cool to put some stickers on my bike, but I don't know if I want to. Some guys say they are cool and others say that they are a waste. What to you guys think??? Also If you have any pics of your bike with/without stickers post them.
#1 - each components stickers/decals have different colors, different sizes different font -- I see so many people setup color schemes on their bikes and then f it up with off the mark stickers.
#2 - why do I want to advertise for these people? I bought the parts? Is this sponsorship -- then lop some $ of the price. (Same to be said of giant logo shirts and shtuf.. "
#3 - They make your 5000$ bike look like a toy.
Those are MY opinions - feel free to disagree; I have left the main decal on my frames (Downtube decal) and headtube 'badge' - but all stickers come off before ever riding a bike for me. Spankin clean 888 over there with nary a stick on it anywhere (I move all sticks to the microwave!! or the 2nd PC case) next to the vpfree with only the DT and HT stickers remain.
Same deal with the Bullit
Same with the Chameleon
The kona is painted - cant do nothin without a repaint
Jamis is frikkin clearcoated -- dang beetches.. cover up those goofy decals - BAH - u r now hanging in the closet!!
on my non-driveside chainstay it says "Experience Cycling" which is the name of the shop the frame was bought from in a permanent sticker..... they do it to all their high end bikes..... kinda cool

I think stickers of your choice are cool. Aside from the factory stickers, I think custom stickers say a lot about your character. I have a couple on mine, but not too many cuz I don't want my ride to look trashy.
Because, wouldn't that be advertising for Santa Cruz if you can tell that its a bullit? Its a little thing called sarcasm. And oh yeah, I carry a Chanel manbag to the lift and wear $300 shoes on my flats.
don't worry about others.....do what you want....heck I have a Rogue sticker and two pirate stickers on my bike....soon a Jeff Gordon 24...Plus I used a red sharpie........who cares I like it
