Not sure if this is the correct thread or not but...

Unthinkingly I purchased 2 HRMs that are exactly the same, company, model, ect. So my wife and I use them on the trainers the signals are getting all crossed. Is their a model where you can choose what frequency the HRM uses, or do different companies use different frequencies?

Polar supposedly has technology built into their better HRM's that prevents interference, however I've never tested two side-by-side. I have a cheapo (Oregon Scientific) that the wife got me for x-mas last year, as well as a Polar branded one. I'll check them tonight and see if I get cross-talk. I'm guessing they're both cheap enough to not have the interference stuff built in, but I'm not sure.

Generally, you have to pay out the nose for better features in HRM's...
