Ive seen some Z1's with what looks like a maxle for their thru axle. Can these be purchased somewhere?? I run the 2004 Z150 FR SL with the qr20 dropouts but the actual ta is a bolt on. Not that big of a deal but a qr style would be much easier for trailside flat repairs and/or putting it in a car when needed.

I'm pretty sure you still have to clamp the fork legs onto it and the lever is just to unscrew the axle once the lowers are unclamped.
right. I have to use two 5mm allen keys to screw/unscrew my axle once its unclamped. Since the clamps are qr20, using a "qr" axle too would make it a tool free change. Thats what Im going for.

Now that I said that, do you think its possible?
