I'd say go for it as far as durability is concerned. People here routinely use Al canti bolts with no problems so Al brake bosses should be a non issue.
However it makes better economical sense to go for some Ti bosses. I got a pair of Ti bosses for for Rock Shox forks for $12 from Tmaybee (he still has them available I believe) whereas the Extralite are ~$20.
As for the weight Extralites were recently measured @ 9g. I haven't had a chance to weigh my Ti bosses yet, however my stock steel RS posts were 19.8 g AND those were not hollow. The Ti posts I got from Tmaybee are identical in shape except they are hollow down the post. So if you consider that Ti is half the weight of steel then Ti posts I got from Tmaybee would be ~ 9g or thereabouts too.
My beautiful Ti bosses from Trevor are 10g bone dry, and my beautiful Extralite bosses from DIRT BOY 9g with anti-seize on the inner threads. I'd say there is a ~2g difference between the two when dry. I like them both!

I weighed my Ti bosses from Trevor and they were 10.0 g flat. Though incidentally I don't think you have 1g worth of grease on the inner threads on your Al bosses - thats a lot of grease for post threads.
Why don't you just sand them down till the brakes fit? I suppose you'd be better off writing to Sergio @ Extralite and asking whats up since those posts shouldn't be like that.
The part I'd have to sand down is where the wrench engages to tighten them into their holes. Thanks for the tip with Sergio. I'll fire him off an email
