I desperatly need some advice / help.
I have a Manitou Swinger 6-way Coil Shock, that is leaking oil, I have my first Down Hill Race on Saturday, so do not have time to send it back to Answer to have them look at it, can't afford to replace it in the next 4 days, and the LBS will not touch it. Is there anything that I can do to refill the oil reservoir ? will I do much more damage by racing with it as it is?
Everything on it was good untill a quick ride yesterday, didn't do anything to big as I knew with my luck something would break and I wouldnt have time to get it replaced. Got back to the car and noticed that oil was dripping down the main shaft. I took the spring of and manually compressing the shock there is no resistance, the shaft just slides in and back out (with a squishy sound) not good I am guessing. When I changed the spring weight a few months back I had tried to compress the shock (with no spring on it) it was a lot harder to push in and pull back out.
Thanks for any advice.
