Drop Bar Adventure Bike

Looking for some feedback about the foundation of a 29'er adventure bike. I'm thinking about going with the Ritchey Ultra frame and the Niner RDO carbon fork. The frame is designed for a 120mm travel fork, most of which seem to have a 495mm-ish crown-to-axle length, and the Niner RDO checks in at 490mm. I can't think that half a centimenter would affect BB height and handling too much?

Any thoughts on this or anything else?

If you can find a stem that compensates for the reach on that frame so that you're not too stretched out on drop-bars, go for it. I ride my P29er with drop-bars, and swap between a 120mm RS1 and an RDO fork; either handles perfectly fine.

BTW, I also ride my Canfield EPO (designed for 120-140mm fork) rigid with the Niner RDO...again, no ill-handling as a result of the steeper head angle or lower BB.
