My all time favorite bike was a 2017 Trek Stache 9.8, 29+, RS Pike 120, full carbon HT. I regret not buying it even w/SRP over $4k.
Today I test rode a Hayduke Titanium HT 29 x 2.3, Yari fork, maybe one frame size too small, but much more comfortable than my alloy HT (all 3 bikes mentioned had/have carbon rims).
I want an XL, 21-22 inch HT frame. It's been 2.5 years since I rode the 9.8.
Please list differences in weight and ride quality between these frame materials in a HT, quality 120 fork (maybe 140 if the frame can handle it), 29 x 2.6 Bontrager XR2 on quality carbon 36mm rims:
Tx!

- Quality carbon ala Trek Stache, moderate to heavy build for a Clyde, no light/superlight
- Stainless Steel
- Titanium
- Alloy (currently running first gen Specialized Fuse 6Fattie w/29 x 2.6)
