My 1987 Trek currently has the stock SR Sake cranks in 170 length with a 110 BCD. I'm happy with the gearing and the chainrings are like brand new. But, I want 175 length. Further, the SR Sake cranks seem crappy and I really don't trust them - I ride this old bike on modern trails and make an effort to push this old rigid rig hard.
Can anyone recommend an affordable and strong set of 110 BCD cranks? I see used XTR M900 on ebay for ~$100 - I'm sure they'd fit the bill perfectly, but are they worth the cost?
Thanks for the input.
