I don't know how I missed this, but Redline brought the Cog back. those 450 mm chainstays get a big, fat NO from me, but it is a good option for a new rider.

Ouch!! LolGood, new stock for riders wanting to try SS only to not like it and sell on CL for cheap. I'll be waiting to pick one up in a few years, lol!
I agree, this is a silly choice, however, according to gravity dropper's website, they have the option for any of their posts in a 26.8... so perhaps there is some hope yet! but still a dumb spec choice.26.8mm seatpost, waaa?
They will probably stop you in time. Even the Avid SD7 V's on my Monocog never disappointed me. I don't brake a lot around here anyway.- tektro mechanical disks
Classic monocog feature!- 26.8 seat post
Just about the perfect width for an XC SS. It's not a full squishy enduro machine eh.- 740 bars called 'wide'
'With 1 analog gear!'- 'fully rigid' used in the description
If I didn't have one already, I might very well want one.Gotta have it.
And this is even closer to one: RL 275 | Redline BicyclesThis seems closer to a cruiser bmx than a mountain bike.
Me too!Still love my '08 'Cog.
Those are horizontal dropouts, so I don't know where they got 450mm from.I don't know how I missed this, but Redline brought the Cog back. those 450 mm chainstays get a big, fat NO from me, but it is a good option for a new rider.

most manufacturers list the shortest position on horizontal dropouts, but it's possible that 450 is the center of the slot. good to hear that it's likely not the case that the shortest position is that long. Those are horizontal dropouts, so I don't know where they got 450mm from.
