The city only wants to put $120,000 into it and the tentative plans for the "bike park" is really just a kiddie playground with some wooden bridge features, burms, and maybe some small, non-gap, dirt jumps. They tried to stress that when built if it gets lots of use and interest that it will lead to a bigger and better park.
So, the future may hold an actual "bike park" but it won't be on this first run.
The BMXers in attendance were very unpleased.
Just another demonstration of how bikers are treated so much worse than every other user group out there...
I'm surprise Glendale went with ARC with all the crappy projects they've done around the country.
