Hello! I picked up a used Titus Eleven 29er with the swappable dropouts and I'm looking for the horizontal ones to run singlespeed. I can't seem to find any for sale online. Does anyone have any laying in a parts bin or know of one that will work? If not, how crazy/expensive would it be to get someone to machine some that would work?
If they are really NLA from Titus, then fabricating a SS replacement from a piece of plate metal is probably a viable DIY project. Using your existing dropout as a template, it can probably can be done with just a hacksaw, jigsaw w/metal cutting blade, drill, files, and thread taps. It is the sort of project that would be prohibitively expensive to pay someone else to do as a one-off project but if you are determined, it could be a challenging DIY project.
I drew up a set for my ice cream truck a while ago. My buddy has a CNC, runs a small garage business, and to make them out of AL he wanted $75 for the set. I would expect a machine shop to be at least 2x that.
I once inquired of paragon machine works to fab up some replacement dropouts for my 2012 salsa big mama. Had the drawing and everything, but I think the minimum order was about 200 pieces? Certainly not something I could've paid for or sold if I had it made. Like Tims5377 suggested, finding/knowing somebody local to you may be the best option but may still be costly
