Will travel change on Vanilla fork change geometry?

I have 2006 Fox Vanilla RL with 130mm of travel. It has 19.5" distance from axel to crown. I want to change its travel to 100mm using spacers per Fox manual and install on my XC bike. However my XC bike manual says that distance from fork crown to axel should be 18.5"
So I am wondering if I change the travel from 130mm to 100mm will that also reduce the distance from axel to crown on my 2006 Fox Vanilla RL so it does not change the geometry on my XC bike
    Any input is appreciated.

Yes. This will drop the a-c 30mm, or 1.18". That'll be about right for your XC bike.

    Thanks
While on the subject. Do I need to order part form Fox, or just moving the existing spacer from one side to another will work. Also how hard is the process itself. Anybodye else done that

Well after a bonehead mistake, I eventually changed the travel it was easy. I also replaced the coil to a stiffer one. Now I have 100mm vanilla fork. Will test it this week.
