why fox 450x2.80 shorter than fox 500x2.80?

I have a fox 450x2.80 that is about 1/2 inch shorter than my fox 500x2.80.

    Is that normal?

Is maybe one of the springs mis-labeled?

I don't want to run the 450 if it really is actually too short

I never apologize. I'm sorry, but that's just the way I am.

Normal. A heavier coil requires thicker wire. Therefore the overall length of the spring needs to be increased to allow for enough spacing between the coils to prevent binding. You're all set.
