    Trek Roscoe 24 fork

    Hi all,

Bought the boy a Roscoe 24 last year and he's turning into quite the little ripper so I think he could benefit from some front suspension.

Anyone put a fork on that bike or have any good ideas? Obviously he's only 9 so I don't really want anything crazy expensive or to have to change out the front hub for a different skewer.

    Thanks

i added a Manitou Markhor 26" to my son's Roscoe 24. It slackened the geometry a little but that isnt really a bad thing. The bike really rips.

net difference was about 1.5 lbs, the old fork was surprisingly heavy with a steel steerer.

Sweet! Did you stick with the same brakes and did it work with the stock headset? I can't quite tell but did you go with a 26" wheel as well? Thanks!

No, the mechanical disc units that where on there were pretty hard for little hands, I swapped them out to some SLX 160mm brakes, where a direct swap. Its the original 24" wheel.

The crown race on the old fork was on really good and the stock headset was a little crappy so I swapped it out to an FSA Orbit 1 1/8. Better bearings.
