    travel reducer on fox dpx2

well I tried to post of pic but I keep getting an upload error from mtbr so I'll try to describe it here.

is the travel reducer in a dpx2 shock the small black washer that is on the air shaft and is exposed once you pull off the air can? it was up by top near there air volume reducer. the washer can slide up and down the shaft.

my description sound like the reducer? I'd like to remove it and would lunge to know the best way to do it. thank you!

That is it. Best way is probably to send it to a suspension shop and get it removed while they service the shock. It can be done DIY using some sharp side cutters. If you decide to go that way be very careful not to scratch the damper shaft

does fox run these reducers on all dpx2 shocks or only certain shaft lengths? Are all dpx2 running the same shaft length, but just reducing using spacers?

Just some. You can look up the 4 digit tune number and find the stroke length of your shock. For example, my 5010 is reduced from 55mm to 50mm. Some riders are converting it to full length. Here is my shock tune info. The bold is the eye to eye length and the effective travel length.
