I have used suspension experts, Dirtlabs and Push. Stay away from hippie tech at all costs, I have heard nothing but horror stories about them.

All three of the above are great and would not hesitate to use again.

Here in Minnesota Shockspital is IT! I have NEVER heard of anyone having a problem with service from this guy. He is a straight shooter as well.

I've used Suspension Experts Several times and found them to be very good. Never had a complaint.
The trouble with having an open mind is that people will insist on trying to put things in it.

As much as I hate dealing with Fox, before committing to one of the listed companies, I would call and talk to FOX. Somehow I was under the impression they had a service / custom tuning division now. Depending on what parts are needed they may be a better option.

As for getting the fully dialed in, you need to contact each of the companies mentioned and see which ones are listening to YOU. If you live near to any one of them, on account of knowing local terrain, they may be your best bet.

I've only used Garage Works, and they made my SID like new again. Very happy with the work.

Push for the DHX and Avalanche for the fork.

Avalanche should have the 40 kit soon:

What year SID? Did they just rebuild it or tune it? I have an 09 SID that I would like to get tuned to my frame, weight, riding style etc...

It's an older (2003 or so) SID. They rebuilt it and tuned it for my weight, etc. I paid about $150.

I use isotuned for any special fork work I can't manage myself.

ISOTUNED Suspension aka drakethomas (threads merged)

I have a CCDB going out to Suspension Experts

I've used PUSH three times. One was great, one OK, and one instance was an absolute nightmare. It's been five and a half years since then and riders seem to be thrilled with their work and customer service.

I tried to take a fork to Garagewerks several years ago, but I was ignored as they built Crank Brothers wheels, so I left after a reasonable time. Oh well.
