Suntour Auron trouble after travel adjustment

I have a 2018 Auron after adjusting the travel to 160, itís been acting up loosing air pressure , dust seal coming off(air side) and the fork itself is some way pulling in itís self so it sits deep in the travel , kinda hard to explain but seems like the air piston is pulling on the lowers.. also when I adjusted the travel all I did was remove two travel reducers .. help! What should I check for thanks.

Don't know that the 2018MY forks were compatible with 160mm travel, only upto 150mm. SO that could be part of the problem. Also, may be time for new seals/wipers depending on the mileage you have on it. Is this a PCS RC2 version or the LO-RC?

Go to SR Suntour's website and use the chat function (https://www.srsuntour.us/) and talk with their people. They were always great help when I needed answers or whatnot plus you have access to their shop for parts right there.

I believe itís the pcs. Newest version they have out.. theyíre 130-160 ... the problem is the spring wasnít altered all I did was remove the travel reducers which is pretty much straight fwd stuff.. and the fork has about 8 months of use more like 5 because It wasnít used much during the winter

I've had something similar happen with my Auron 35. Air gets to the lowers and the fork gets sucked in. I have to try that o-ring as well.
I never had this problem with my old auron 34.

Otherwise it has been a great fork.

Is their a specific size o-ring to use ? And does the piston need to be replaced?

Piston is made from ptfu and doesnt need to be changed. Just oring. I know only size for epicon. If you have caliper its easy to measure. I guess 5mm thick and smaller ID, than piston groove OD. If they change it again for u-seal it will leak again.

I ended up ordering a new piston and doing it myself, I checked the pressure this morning and itís holding up, I guess the real test will be this weekend when I take it for a ride
