    Rockshox pike RCT dual air

Hi all Iím looking at buying the roxkshox pike this weekend but my lbs only have the dual air in stock rather than solo air , is there any real performance difference between the 2 or should I look elsewhere for a solo air for better reliability??

Dual position air springs were a band-aid for bad frame geometry. Leave that shit in 2007.

I have a 2017 or 18 on a hardtail. Has been rock solid for me and the travel range (110/140) works great for my riding. I wouldn't do it for a FS since you probably wouldn't run the shorter travel and I believe it is slightly heavier than a regular fork.

I love my Pike DP Air: 120mm mode for XC/Trail..... 150mm for Bike Parks.

I have a Pike Dual on my Ibis Hd3 (150/120) and it has been working perfectly fine for the last 4 years. I cannot compare to a Single Pike but it certainly works well enough not to desire anything better. It stays on 150 90% of the time but when there is a long uphill the 120 setting certainly help. Weight penalty is 90 grams.

Thanks Davide thatís what I was hoping to hear tbh, Iíve heard a few people with the opinion that the solo air performed differently so I was hoping someone like yourself would be able to shed some light on that

"Dual Air" and "Dual Position Air" are two diff things. The first is independent pos and neg air chambers vs "Solo Air" where the pos and neg are self equalizing. The latter is selectable travel.
    Do the math.

Hi all in the end it was a solo air that the shop had so will be getting that one , is it a straight fit for my bike : 2018 trek fuel ex 7 . Or will I need to change hubs or something ?
