Retrofit a Solo Air PIKE with a Dual Position Air Spring

I'm a very happy owner of a Rock Shox PIKE Solo Air 27,5" 160mm fork.

Thinking in the plan I have for the summer, a TransPyrenees multi-stage ride with lots of long&steep climbs, I'm interested in having the possibility to retrofit my current solo air Pike with a Dual Position Spring... but I'm not sure if this can be done without changing also the CSU (crown+steerer+uppers).

I did the same thing in my old Dual Air RS Revelation, but now there's an small but key difference: the Solo Air left upper tube has a dimple to allow pressure equalization between + and - air chambers and this is not needed/can interfere in the Dual Position.

Do you think this retrofit is feasible?

I am curious as well. I see SRAM has different part numbers for Solo Air vs. Dual Position Air CSU's, so I suspect it wouldn't work for the reason you mentioned, but it would be interesting to hear if anyone had done it.
