    Marzocchi 44 ATA

Any one have a new Marzocchi 44. Trying to find out how to get rid of the nasty sticktion in the forks. Very noticble in the first 30% of travel. This a brand new fork running 90 PSI.

    Check the oil !

I have one. Installed it in May, kind of sticky, everyone said "let it break in". I rode it some more...still sticky. More riding....hmmm, is it getting worse? I gave up "breaking it in" in early July, opened it up, and found the right (TST2) leg was fine, but there was virtually NO oil in the left (ATA) leg. I refilled with the recommended (?) volumes of 50cc L / 25cc R (using the specs from last year's XC 600/700 forks, as Marz has NO oil volumes for 2009 forks listed on their website). It's working great now

It's not about speed, it's about lack of control.
