Lyrik damping question
My new bike has a Lyrik R fork, the damping side only has rebound adjuster on the bottom of the leg - anyone know how the compression is set, is it internally adjustable ?

Rebound only. Upgrade the compression damper. Maybe call SRAM or ask your LBS.

If you upgrade to Mission Control, you would need to upgrade the rebound damper as well. You can upgrade to Motion Control IS without needing to upgrade the rebound damper though. Motion control IS is not as good, but its still an upgrade over not having a compression damper.

So is there no compression damping or just an unadjustable one?
I can't believe there's nothing in there as the fork would just dive under braking.

take the top off the damper side, its empty.

My understanding is that the compression damping is preset and not adjustable.

LOL! There is a blank top cap! I just serviced one. It has a port orfice rebound damper(no shimmed HSR) and no compression damper. Fox R forks have non adjustble compression dampers, Rock Shox R forks have no compression dampers. Open one up and look or send Sram an email.
Its really easy to put the Motion Control IS damper in though. Remove the blank top cap, remove a little oil( 30cc from memory i think) and put the damper in. Done.
