    Lyric Ultimate Questions

I'll keep this tight. Wife's new scooter has a 150mm Lyric Ultimate. SHe wants to know what the control knobs on the right side do....I cannot feel any difference when altering their settings.

    • Does it have lock out?

    • Slow speed compression should be turned up in what type of trail surface or riding
    • High speed compression should be turned up in what type of trail surface or riding?

    Cheers!

    No lock out.
LSC, the small dial, helps control fork dive actions like braking or weight shifts. It also affects how sensitive the fork is to smaller trail chatter. For steep trails, I may add a click above my base settings but this also can make small bumps more noticeable or compromise traction.

HSC is high speed shaft events like landing a drop or square edges at speed or g-outs. Too much and these can feel very harsh, too little (with correct air pressure) and you bottom out too easily.

My personal set up choice is air pressure for ~20% sag and overall support through the stoke then add LSC and HSC to fine tune.

I have the same fork and use 7 or 8 clicks of LSC and 1-2 HSC
