    light weight xc fork for a fatty?

    does anyone know how well a sid or skareb fork will do for a 220lbs rider who will be riding strictly xc---no freeride

    Skareb would be less flexy, but either will be questionable...

    ...for long term durability at your weight. If you go Skareb, get the '04, NOT the '03.

    At about 3 1/2 lbs there's the Fox RLT, which is what I went with, but it's quite a bit more $$$.

    some suggestions

    you should look into the marzocchi forks, like the marathon or mz pro, good forks and not to heavy, also think about the fox vanilla, super stiff and plush. that extra 3/4 lb's not gonna kill ya. just take two cliff bars, one packet of gu, and 12 ounces of water out of your camelback and you'll be right there.
