    Iíve dented my shaft.

A slight mishap resulted in a small dent in the shaft of my rear shock. Is shallow, but definitely a dent. I can feel the depression with my finger. Reckon this is gonna cause me any problems? Sorry about the sharty pics, best I could do. -img_3070.jpg-img_3067.jpg-img_3066.jpg

Damnit man. Why am I not excited? Whatís it gonna do? This happened Thursday, and that day, I lost all pressure. I aired it up, and today it worked fine. I actually ordered a new shock, but would love to send it back. Itís a DVO Topaz t3.

I laughed out loud at the title of this. Then I laughed harder when I clicked on it and saw a moderator was listed viewing the thread. So good.

Anyway, like Dougal said, new shock body for you.

Think of it as an opportunity to upgrade to a nice coil shock.

So, Iíve ordered the shock body, and since itís due for a service, I also purchased all of the appropriate kits to service the shock. As a reasonably competent mechanic, is this something that I can do?

    Ditto.

Lucky he didn't permanently bend his tackle!
