    help!

workin on a bike for a friend who has been off the trails for 2 long. workin on his 3rd child so not much money. hes got an older trk fuel slr . the fork on it is a manitou comp 80 to 100 mm rapid travel adjust. the fork has a lot of play in it. if i turn the bike upside down i can lift the wheel up and down with the lowers sliding on the stanchions with no tension. it moves about an inch or so. he thinks the bike is maybe an 01 so it may be hard to find rebuild parts for. any suggestions? I have a manitou nixon elite in perfect shape but its 115 to 145 mm even the 115 may be too much travel.

Did you want to send it out to be re-built, or just get parts? Have you or are you going to open it up to see what is going on inside?
