Fox Shock Evo DRCV service or replacement?

    Hi,

    On a 2014 Trek Fuel EX 9.7 29, its
2014 Evolution Series DRCV rear shock needs service.

I'm trying to decide whether to invest in a service kit and all required lubricants or to buy another rearshock currently on sale

The one I've found is Fox Suspension Float Performance Elite LV Rear Shock 2017, size is only 184x44.

I'm unsure whether it'll fit or if it's an upgrade or downgrade... I'm just kind of letdown by the fact that I have to skip riding my bike for the next few days due to rear shock condition.

    Thanks in advance!!

Goign to a DPS rear shock isn't an upgrade and it'll cost you more to convert trunnion to pins. I'd just service what you've got.

I do have a Vorsprung Corset for those DRCV's on close-out.
