Fox DPX2 . Shock specifically "tuned" for frame.

So wondering what this means. I have a Pivot Mach 6 with a Factory DPS. Looking to upgrade to a DPX2 and I found a deal on one that is unused but "tuned" for a Yeti SB6. Well those two bikes have the same travel but different linkages/ etc. So what does this actually mean? Would this shock need specific changes to work well on the Pivot? Can I do well enough with the n setting changes? Am trying to contact Fox as well.

The leverage ratio on the 2 bikes is completely different and because of the specific tune in the DPX2 it might give you a «not ideal/not so great» result . Even if you could get it retuned, it will cost you quit a bit if money to get it right.

The X2 however has no stack intended at specific frame kinematics, unlike the DPX2 and it’s a better shock. 4 ways adjustments, more capable etc...

If I was you I'd go with the X2 (or Öhlins TTX or CCDB Air) and skip the tuning. Unless of course you really want to run the DPX2 on this bike (if so get it retuned)

    Good luck
