    Fork recommendation: 140mm coil 27.5

    Howdy yall

I've been riding a 2011 marzocchi 44 rc3 ti for years and years on my trail hardtail and I love it, but I've recently discovered the magic that is 26x2.8" minion dhf tires and they don't fit this fork.

Has anyone made something similar in a 27.5" size? Non-boost 15mm axle?

I am riding an x-fusion fork which is OK but I miss the plush small bump compliance and general neglectability of the zoke.

I'm not sure anyone even makes/made something like this and I'm appreciative of any help you can offer.

    Thanks

    Nick

I have that fork and I wish it came in 27.5. Even modern off the shelf forks suck compared to the RC3Ti forks.

The crown is low though. I had rub from a 2.4 Conti Rubber Queen and had to run it as a rear tire.

I'm going to have to do a spring conversion and an Avy cartridge to get that feeling in a new fork.

You could get a pike or 2015 onwards fox 36 and get a vorsprung smashpot coil conversion.

I hadn't heard of this and it looks awesome. Thank you!

No worries. I haven't used it but there's a big thread on it in here with lots of happy customers too if you want to read about it some more.
