    Crown race spacer

Has anyone used a reverse components 0.5 angle spacer before? Looks like it will add an extra 10mm over the standard Cane Creek zero stack headset that came with my bike. Im wanting to go from a front tire with with a 28.5" overall height to just over 28.0", but want to keep the h.t.a. and bb height where its at. This does not seem like a popular option, so I'm wondering if I'm missing something? A lot of people buy a longer travel fork, which seems unnecessary for me.

Edit...again. Just realized this was a straight spacer. Disregard everything I said which you can't see any longer.

I have found a few products that are thicker races. I just have to measure exactly how much room I have on the steer tube to work with before it begins to taper. If not, I could use a cane creek angleset bottom cup. It's the only external 56mm headset I can find. Very pricey though.

Try Niner slacker puck, pivot tall lower headset cup or a lower headset cup from Last bikes...

That doesn't matter. The taller race will still seat and locate the same as the normal short race even if it extends above the cylindrical portion of the steerer. It would have to be much taller for that to matter.
    Do the math.
