I've got a 2002 Kona Stinky with a Fox Vanilla that is showing signs that it needs a rebuild. The shock is very basic, the only adjustment that can be made is by tightening/loosening the shock, so I figure I should simply go for a new shock. What's confusing me is that Kona says the 2002 Stinky has a rear shock with a 2" stroke, BUT when I measure the shock on my bike (from the base of the shock that the bumper sits on up to the bottom of the cylinder that the shaft comes out of) it measures 2.25". SO are shocks measured to the top of the bumper, or bottom of the bumper? Basically I just want to know if I can put a shock with a stroke of 2.25" on the bike! thanks
