can't find tread to mod Fox RLC fork to get all of the 5.5" claimed

I've searched and I can't find the thread that explains how to do it.
Does anyone remember where it is?

    Thanks

I think the thread started in the Ibis forum, check the early mojo posts, and then got cross-posted into the shock and suspension forum. Or you can try searching cut stanchion rod.

The short story is to disassemble the air spring side of the fork, cut about 15mm off the stanchion rod, drill a new hole for the pin and reassemble the fork. This makes the air chamber bigger so air pressure doesn't ramp up as quick as you go deeper into travel.

If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, PUSH does a high volume air when they rebuild shocks. I think it is $30 on top of a normal rebuild.

I aplogize man I had a copy of the australian MTB mag article where it was orginally published and now I can't find it. If you haven't tried yet...search "travel mod for Fox fork" and see if you can find the post that has a link.

I have done this mod and the performance is night and day.
