Best fork upgrade for xc racing

im currently training my ass off to start racing again after quite a while.
I own a kikapu deluxe with a marzocchi mx comp and i`m planning to upgrade.
I weight around 160 pounds and tend to ride pretty fast and aggressive, but the xc courses here are pretty smooth, no drops, just the ocasional roots and rocks departments.
I cant complain on the descending performance of the MX but i hate it when going uphill, trying to accelerate fast and besides it is on the heavy side.
I was thinking about upgrading to a fork on sale i was thinking 100mm `05 vanilla, reba or sid.
Which is the best for making the bike quicker and lighter? I used to hate SIDs but since the trails here are so lame i dont think i would need more and i believe its one of the lightest forks.
a Float , R7,etc... are just way to expensive.
Lesson of the month: Don`t run of a cliff on your Mountain Bike. It`s quite painful.
