    Arch Compressing Deeper Than Crown?

In a recent "huck to flat test" of a bike I'm well acquainted with, someone mentioned it look like the 2020 Pike Ultimate, in this case fully compressed to the seals, was making contact between arch and head tube.

I had not previously considered this possibility, but thought I'd ask the Hive: are there any forks whos arch compresses past the top of the crown?

It used to be very common. Because tyre clearance for mud/debris is an issue far more often than tyre clearance at full compression.

The plus people who think a tyre clearing the brace means it also clears the crown really are rolling the dice.

Only time I've ever seen a head tube with wear from an arch was on old 90-92 ish Klein attitude which had a Manitou 3 or 4 on it. The oversized head tube was all sorts of scratched up. Sad as it was a beautiful black frame in my size.

Haven't seen any pics of it happening recently and I'd assume most companies wouldn't have an issue. I'd guess Evil could come close with their massive head tubes but doubt it would happen

Formula 35 and Evil Insurgent. The headline would actually prevent the fork from bottoming out...!
