There's only a Talas and Vanilla version as far as I know...you don't want the Talas?

The Float 36 is a new introduction for 2007. Lighter than the 36 TALAS for those who don't want the travel-adjust and are willing to give up linear response for lightness while still keeping stiff 36mm stanchions and 20mm axle.

I was relying on the Fox site, where it isn't mentioned (guess website still only up to 06). I see more now that I've looked around. I still prefer my 36VanRC2 for the small weight difference.

Some people may be looking for even more progressiveness than the vanilla provides, and the float should provide it. If fox made adjustable progression like other manufacturers, you wouldn't need 3 different forks (talas, vanilla, float).
