2019 Fox Float DPS travel reducer

    Hey all,

I'm thinking about buying a YT Jeffsy. It's built with Fox Float DPS, 210x55mm. The top model has 10mm more travel as it uses 210x50mm shock. I'd like the extra travel.
The DPS shock has its travel reduced by a travel spacer inside the shock. The easiest way to remove it would be cutting the spacer out. Does anyone know the material of the spacer?

It is plastic, you can cut it. It's not all that easy to do without scratching the shaft, I'd suggest getting it hot so it cuts easier. It can be done.

Thanks! Have you seen inside of this shock? I found a comment somewhere the 2.5mm spacer is alloy. Not sure from which year or about the 5mm spacer though...

The Jeffsy is a great bike! However as many of us have learned the DPS does not play well with Jeffsy’s progressive geometry. A better shock will transform the performance of the suspension...i’ve read similar statement on other bikes as well. Read through the PB Jeffsy threads to learn what others have done and put a linear air or coil shock on your upgrade list.
