    2013 Lyrik

To set the fork at 160, do you add the taller stack or the smaller. Buddy purchased a used fork and did not check the travel, thought it was at 170. Having a 2010 lyrik I know you add the spacer to decrease travel. We took his 2013 apart and it had the shorter spacer on it. So we replaced it with the taller spacer. Guess what, it was 170 when we finished. Put the smaller spacer back in and 160. 2013 is different as it does not just have the spacer ring but an entire piece you replace.

I also cannot find a 2013 service manual and is the reason I am asking.

Question is, most RS forks I have seen you added spacers to decrease travel. On the 2013 a smaller spacer was needed. Is this correct of later model RS forks? Seemed odd to add a 10mm spacer and gain travel.

Doing research all over the place. Looks like this may have been an OEM fork already set at 160. The bigger spacer increases the travel which sounds like the exact opposite of previous years. Any answers out there??

Spacers have changed for 2013. My 2013 Lyrik came stock at 170mm. To lower it to 160, I had to install the tall baseplate spacer and remove the shorter spacer that was installed.

Odd. We put the longer spacer in(removed the smaller) and the travel increased to 170.

Just got off the phone with SRAM. Your OEM Lyrik can''t be adjusted without buying a different air spring. Said if you would have ran it with the taller base plate you could have damaged it.
