19 fox float 34 GRIP damper cap came apart

My 2019 fox float 34 damper adjustment top cap came apart after the screw came out. Underneath are two cogs and a spring. Looks like the cogs have some indentations. Anything special to put this back together? Where should the cap tab position be in? Will be adding locktite to the little screw this time.

"Float" is the air spring, you might had a GRIP or FIT4 damper. Your description sounds like a GRIP damper topcap. If it is, the sweep adjust detent assembly is shown near the end of this video:

PhillipJ thank you. My description was lame and done via my phone. Adding pictures would have help.
Well that video helped tons on the orientation of the indents and what position to reinstall the cap.
It is the float 34 performance with GRIP.
I have to say this adjustment knob is shite. How many positions should it go into? Seems to me like 5 o'clock, 3, 1 and 11 positions. Not smooth at all, not impressed vs the float fork I had with the 2016 flex fuel ex9 (new bike is 2019 9.8).

    Thanks anyway

It has 3 main positions and lots of smaller indentations between them. Its not supposed to be smooth. The fork on your old bike is pretty widely considered to be one of the worst fox has ever made.

What position is considered fully open?
