    XTR M9000 shifter loose

should there be a small screw in inside the shifter cover?
my shifter is clamp type and it is loose, even when tightening fully the outside screw
but it seems there should be a smaller screw in the clamp which keeps it from moving?

Anybody can check it if there is a screw inside the cover?

    Thanks

Looks like the screw goes into a nut: http://si.shimano.com/php/download.p...9000-3777B.pdf

Take the cover off and see if you have stripped the thread.

    That screw is OK

I'm taking about the small screw between the cover and the clamp

So today I had some time to check the shifter more closely.
I had already earlier shaken the shifter to hear if there is any loose parts inside, but nothing shaking.
Today I took my tools home and opened the shifter cover.
I took some time before I noticed that there IS a loose screw inside there... Shimano has used plenty of grease so it had found a good place and the grease prevented it to move loosely around.
So I screwed the screw back, and now the sifter is solid
