Upgrading to 10 speed weight querries

I'm Planning on upgrading to 10sp on my full suss (from 9sp SRAM - which will be put on to my hardtail to upgrade the 8sp Shimano that over 10 years old and loosing it's effectiveness! ... bit off topic but just so ya know).

can't make up my mind which mech to go for - price vs cost vs strength. Was thinking Saint, but is it worth the extra cost over XT (just realised XTR is silly price!)
Is there anywhere that states weights of the Shimano gear (Saint, XT, XTR, Zee), as Shimano don't even publish it on their website?!

I'll probably go XT cassette, but I haven't got a clue on shifter either.

I've started from searching posts here, but looking to fill the gaps.

    Saint Shifter 123g
Zee Shifter 142g (with cable inner)
    XTR Shifter
    XT Shifter
    Saint Mech 250g
    Zee Mech 270g (sc)
    XTR Mech 214g
    XT Mech 258g (lc)
    XTR Cassette
    XT Cassette 264g (11-32t)

    any pointers would be great.
    Cheers Dave

Make sure that Saint will work with the cassette you want. I haven't used a 10spd Saint myself, but I think the mode converter is gone now and the Saint will only work with a road cassette.

From a practical standpoint, you are probably going to do best on grams per dollar with XT or even SLX, and saving weight elsewhere. If you are saving weight on the other things anyway and want this bike to be light, get as much XTR as you can. It certainly won't be heavier than XT and it does have 3 yr warranty.

Did not know that! maybe not saint then.

I XTR'ed (trail) with the cranks, but want something robust for the mech - hence why thinking saint. but also want to have a mind on weight so when I do silly things like putting a CCDB on things balance out.
